Audio

For my advertising film I wanted to make my film more realistic and more relatable with my audience. I decided to not include a non diejectic soundtrack and instead have all sound in my advert be diejetic sounds. I decided to play a Keemstar youtube video. as a form of diejetic sound as the sound was coming from Kai’s phone in the video, I chose to do this because my target audience is bosses of companies so I wanted to make my advert appear more serious in a sense of it being suitble for use of work, I felt that if I added non-diejetic music over the advert, it would ruin the tone that I was trying to create for my target audience.

I noticed that there is also other adverts which choose not to include non-diejetic music such as the Giffgaff advert from 2018, this advert decides not to make use of music so the audience watching this advert is focusing on what the girl is saying.

I decided to follow what Giffgaff did with this advert as I wanted the viewer to really focus on what they see in my advert as their is a story in my advert which I want the viewer to follow so the use of music would have just been a distraction.
