client brief justification

I decided for my project to choose the Facebook Workplace brief. I decided to choose this brief over all of the other briefs that were availble because I found that this brief offered me alot of freedom to do what I wanted to do and not be locked into doing a certain final product unlike other briefs that were availble to me.

The main points that drew me into choosing this brief was that Workplace by Facebook wanted me to celebrate and inform people about the benefits of Workplace. This allowed me alot of freedom to really make a final product that follows this leniant guideline. Another point that the brief stated was that they wanted me to bring together a global community to work with each other. This was also a very loose guideline stated in the brief overall so it offered me alot of freedom in how I wanted to execute the final idea when it came to production.

There were other briefs that I could have chosen such as BBC, but they didn’t appeal to me. The BBC wanted me to investigate how the target audience’s habitual behaviours could influence, shape and develop BBC sounds for 16 to 35 year olds. Personally this didn’t appeal to me because I don’t listen to the radio that much so I would find this very boring an unappealing. Also I don’t know much about BBC sounds so I would have to do some research into finding out what it is and how it works from a buissness perspective. Another point in this brief stated that I would need to use the BBC app and other BBC interactives when making the final product. This is another challenge wchich makes the task much harder compared to the Facebook Workplace brief so that is why I decided to go with that brief for my project.
