Frederic Schlosser is a German photographer who enjoys a passion of fast cars.

A lot of his photos consist of a modern car placed in the foreground with old fashioned buildings located in the background, he tries to make this the trend featured in most of his photos which makes his work easily recognizable. The lighting in his photographs are either bright or dark to create an atmosphere.

The photo on the left has an overall dark lighting to it and has a very noir theme to the photo. This photo looks like it has been manipulated due to the smoke effects and the overall look to the photo.

The photo on the right is the opposite in terms of lighting but has a similar old fashioned setting for the background. Which is what the photographer is famous for, his old fashioned backgrounds.

 

• Richard Thompson is a Los Angeles based photographer. He has a passion for the automotive industry and therefore chose to work in the business as a photographer.
• He has worked on many projects for car companies such as Pagani, Ferrari and Bentley. He has gained a reputation for producing mind blowing images of some of the most exotic cars in the world ranging from modern cars to classic cars stretching back as far as the 1960’s where he has taken pictures of classic Ferrari’s.
• Thompson has a background in video and visual effects so he is well experienced in finding the perfect places to shoot in terms of finding the best lighting and landscape place.
• The photo below on the left is set in an unusual setting which follows the photographers general theme of setting for his photographs. This photo does not look like it has been manipulated due to there being a lack of effects present.
• The photo below on the right has a darker lighting to it and is set on a race track, The photo features a front up shot showing the front of the car. The headlights stand out on the car due to the low lighting in the photo with the photo being taken late in the evening. This photo does not look like it has been manipulated due to the lighting and colour’s present in the photo it looks natural

 

• Tim Wallace is an automotive Photographer based out of Manchester, United Kingdom.
• Tim has worked with many clients all around the world including manufactures such as Aston Martin, Lexus, Peugeot, Jaguar , Mercedes and many more.
• He is one of the most renowned commercial car and automotive photographer’s in the world and his work proves it so.
• Most of his photos consist of the subject of the photo (Car) being photographed on a race track.
• The photograph below on the left follows the photographers overall theme of the setting being taken at a race track. There is low lighting to match the colour of the car with it being black. The photo has a negative feel to it as the most prominent colour in the photograph is black. This photo could also be manipulated as the sky does not look like how it is presented in the photo all the time so the photographer could have changed the photo.
• The photo below on the right is also set on a track but has a further camera distance with the camera being situated higher so the viewer is looking down on the car. The lighting is brighter and has a more professional style to the photo.
