25 word pitch:
We’re making another NFL podcast, this time we want to dive in depth and talk about concussion issues and history of tactics then and now.
Idea generating:
Diversity in media:
- Actors used to be mainly white males and now include all genders, races and beliefs.
- Disability is better shown in films as characters playing disabled people now actually have a disability instead of a able person pretending to play somebody with a disability.
- Films like Black Panther show characters of minority races being main lead with most of the characters in this film being black actors with the main character even being black as well, not many films can say that their film has a minority ethnicity present as the main lead.
- Films like Star Wars Episodes 7-9 show a range of across from different backgrounds as apart of the cast, Rey is a woman and Finn is a Black British man, these are the two central main characters of the trilogy with a diverse array of support characters who have different faiths, backgrounds and ethnicities.

Whilst I was writing my script I came across this updated mock draft that was released very recently and I found it very informative as some picks had changed since last ones Daniel Jeremiah is also a highly creditted NFL scout who has previously worked with teams in the past like the Philladelphia Eagles.

This website is the official NFL 2020 draft prospects tracker it is a database that has every college player that has declrared elligeable for this years 2020 draft it lists it from the best player in the draft to the worst in the draft with a grading system. if you click on a player for example it will take you to their offical player page which has their picture,name, weight, height arm length. etc. It has a bio for every player so you can get to know them as a person and a player. If you scroll down on the same page their is also a analysis and overview of the players skillset on the field and further down also has a strength and weakeness system which as you expect tells you what they are good at and what they are bad or not so great at.
Podcast logo:
This is the logo that we got made by a professional graphic artist. He made some other examples but we chose this one as it struck out the most and we liked the clean look the most. We also told him to include the colours red, white and blue as these are the colours that are associated with not only the NFL but the USA. The sport that we are covering is an American Sport so we want to pay homage to that in our logo. Overall, we are pretty happy with the final outcome and can’t wait for it to be featured on our podcast.
Script:
I Created my script on a script making website called Celtx which makes it look like a professional script that would be used in the media industry. We chose Celtx and not just writing it up on word as we want to act like we are apart of the industry that we wish to enter and to do that means chagnging how we operate in terms of writing and planning, Celtx allows us to create a script that looks virtually identical to something that would be used for various forms of media pre production.
