Portrait and still life

In photography there are 2 types of lighting, continuous and flash lighting.

Continuous- lighting that lasts for a long time and only turns off when you turn it off.

Flash- A sudden flash, this is often seen on camera’s when they take a photo.

When setting up a light stand, make sure that the legs are fully flexed out so that the stand does not fall down.

This photo that I took, I decided to take the photo as a portrait as this was the best decision to fill up more of the frame with his body instead of the wheelchair taking up most of the frame. The brightness in this photo is at a good level as you can clearly see in a good quality the person’s face and it is not to bright and not too dark. However, I think that the shadow that is present is a little too strong and overpowers the image a little.picture1

This photo that I took is a portrait styled photo I decided to take it this way so I could fill up more of the frame with the person. I took this photo a little bit closer compared to the other photo’s that I took. I used continuous lighting in the form of studio lights to light up the studio, so it is not too dark. Overall, I think that this is the best photo that I took from my photoshoot.
